Web2.0 tools

I will use Glogster with my Math class Mr. Ben-nuns. It will help me do project and help organize online research. I learned a lot in Web 2.0 especially on things I have never heard of before. I enjoyed this class a lot.
I would use the site Qwiki to help with my biology class and would use it for Mrs.Graziano.

Air Mounted Laser Weapon Project

  • The Airborne Laser, or ABL in mil-speak, is a hulking Boeing 747 equipped with a massive laser cannon, dreamed up by the missile defense agency to blast boosting missiles out of the sky.
  •  It served as a symbol for the bleeding edge of missile defense and weapons technology for a time, but it also came to represent everything that’s wrong with Pentagon weapons development. Over budget and behind schedule, it barely dodged the fiscal axe on a few occasions.

Basically ABL ( Airborne lasers) will be used for missle threats, which in this case a defensive stratagy.

Spring Break! Do now 4/10

What I did during spring break was go on Facebook, and did my research project. The research project consisted of Basketball and involved me using a Social network.I went to my moms house and got the chance to hang out with her. I had a Garage Sales and made $60 in two hours! I had lots of fun. The Garage Sales consisted of old items sold and people who begged for things for a dollar, but in the end it was perfection.

Finally, an Espresso Machine for the Car

It’s 8:45 a.m. and you’re just getting into your car to leave for work. There’s no time for coffee—but you’ve never needed it more. A new espresso machine that plugs into a car’s cigarette lighter socket aims to give French drivers a cup of espresso wherever they are.
The invention frees caffeine lovers from the tyranny of the clunky, immobile espresso machine. The company draws its unofficial motto, “Liberté, qualité, mobilité” from the French Revolution slogan, “Liberté, égalité, fraternité.”
Skip to 3:45... to see the Empresso Machine for your car!

Tech Article 3/9

At the site where Apple debuted its third-generation tablet computer, one question was on everyone's lips: So, what do we call this thing?
The answer, according to an Apple spokesman: "It's just 'iPad.' It's what it is."
But there still seems to be potential for confusion, especially since the first-generation iPad was just called "iPad" and the next one was called "iPad 2." If someone were selling one of these new iPads on Craigslist next year, what would they call it?
Maybe "iPad 4." That would seem logical if unlikely at this point.

Saturday NEWS!

Federal authorities are investigating repeated intrusions into the computer network that runs the Nasdaq stock exchange, according to a Wall Street Journal report that cited people familiar with the matter.
The intrusions did not compromise the tech-heavy exchange's trading platform, which executes investors' trades, but it was unknown which other sections of the network were accessed, according to the report.
"So far, [the perpetrators] appear to have just been looking around," one person involved in the Nasdaq matter told the Journal.
The Secret Service reportedly initiated an investigation involving New York-based Nasdaq OMX Group last year, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has launched a probe as well. Investigators are considering a range of motives for the breach, including national security threat, personal financial gain, and theft of trade secrets, the newspaper reported.
Nasdaq representatives could not be reached for comment.
Investigators have not been able to follow the intruders' path to any specific individual or country, but people familiar with the matter say some evidence points to Russia, according to the report. However, they caution that hackers may just be using Russia as a conduit for their activities.
The Nasdaq, which is thought to be as critical from a security standpoint as the national power grid or air traffic control operations, has been targeted by hackers before. In 1999, a group called "United Loan Gunmen" defaced Nasdaq's public Web site with a story headlined "United Loan Gunmen take control of Nasdaq stock market." The vandalism was quickly erased, and Nasdaq officials said at the time that the exchange's internal network was unaffected.

Get a Voki now!

Text article of the month of december!Starting the year with the most-anticipated gadget possibly ever, and closing it by landing the most influential rock band of all time on your music store? You could say 2010 was good to Apple.

Tablet PCs have been around for years, but none have even come close to the success (more than 7 million units in the first six months) of Apple's iPad. That's probably because it's not a full-blown PC--it's something else: an always-on media-consumption device that does some computer-like things
